57^th Australian Export Awards 2019

THE BRIEF

In 2019, the national Australian Export Awards (AEA) were celebrating their 57^th year. The purpose of the National Awards Ceremony is to announce the national winners of the export award categories, and the Australian Exporter of the Year.

The event is hosted by the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment and is attended by approximately 500 individuals including national finalists, government officials, sponsors and senior business executives.

Our brief was to redesign, redevelop, and create a unique and engaging awards ceremony.

THE RESULT

Our team worked closely with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission to deliver the most innovative and engaging awards ceremony that Parliament House Canberra has ever seen. We combined subtle theming considerations and wow factor moments – including the development of digital content and projection mapping - which has forever shaped the delivery of these awards. Working in one of Australia’s highest security venues, we delivered an exceptional experience for over 500 guests, including numerous Ministers and other VIP’s. While keeping the focus on our finalists and Award winners, our team put together an amazing entertainment program showcasing Australian talent including performances from young Indigenous artist Atahlia Sutherland and X Factor Winner and EuroVision contestant Dami Im, with the night seamlessly hosted by David Koch.

Taking inspiration from the Tapestry hung in the Great Hall, we selected elements of this to create the projections that would act as a call to action throughout the evening for our guests.
